Calorie AI ("the app," "we," "us") is operated by Delta Metrics. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Calorie AI you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account (via email, phone, Apple, or Google sign-in). Guest/anonymous use is also supported.
- Health & fitness data — the meals, calories, macros, and weight you log, plus, if you grant permission, steps and active energy from Apple Health.
- Content you provide — photos of food and messages you send to the AI nutritionist.
- Identifiers & usage — a user ID, push notification token, and product-analytics events that help us understand and improve the app.
- Purchase status — whether you have an active subscription (handled by Apple; we never see your card details).
- Diagnostics — crash and performance data.
How we use your information
- To provide core features: logging food, estimating nutrition, calculating your targets, and powering the AI nutritionist.
- To sync with Apple Health (only with your permission).
- To improve the app through aggregate product analytics.
- To send notifications you've enabled (e.g., reminders).
We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
How your data is processed by third parties
We use trusted providers solely to operate the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, notifications, and diagnostics.
- OpenAI and Anthropic — to generate nutrition estimates and AI nutritionist responses from the meal text/photos you submit. This content is sent only to produce your result.
- PostHog — privacy-respecting product analytics.
- Apple — App Store purchases and (optionally) Apple Health.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us. See Delete Account for steps.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact support@deltametricsai.com.
Children
Calorie AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
